Morning all
This week we have been head down running toward the
new future of liberty beer. We have found a fantastic new warehouse in East
London that has 5,000 square foot of chilled storage already installed and
ready to go, so we will have room to swing a cat again. Along with that we have
a new warehouse manager starting soon, it’ll mean that everything on that side
of things will be a lot better organised than it is at present with Purfleet
running at absolute capacity and probably more. It’ll be our third move to
larger warehousing in two years, Thank You all for your support!
There are a lot more things in the pipeline, and we’ll let
you know about those as they happen, but the bottom line is that we’re able to
bring in some changes now that will make our service to you a lot better, and
free Steve and I up to spend more time with customers and suppliers and
generally pull us out the ocean of administrative tasks and organisational
headaches that have threatened to drown us as we got bigger.

Big news this week is that we have got Ilkley back on the
list again. We always loved their beers and it’s about time that the hatchet
was buried and we sent some your way again. Fortis and Dinner Ale are available
on Keg, in cask we have Mary Jane IPA, Joshua Jane the nut brown Yorkshire
bitter, and Ilkley Gold session ale with Cascade US hops and Dana the Czech
Noble blended perfectly to make a really easy drinking beer. We’ll be running
these guys regularly from now on, and putting ‘Siberia-gate’ behind us. we
won’t mention it again. Ever. Probably.
Next up is Grain. Phil is brewing some stunning and very
consistent beers up there in the wilds of East Anglia, so we are putting more
of them out there in your direction. This month’s ‘Month of Hops’ beer is the
American stunna ‘Summit’ so loads of lychee and tropical fruit nose to be
expected. There is a very small amount of the fabulous ‘Blonde Ash’ wheat in
Keg, and a full range of the core cask beers.
Want something rare and brewed by one of London’s more
elusive breweries? Yeah, well there is a small batch of beers from Crate in
Hackney Wick winging it’s way to us, so we can do that for you. They have
started to dry hop the beers as well, so more flavour, more fragrant and
slightly clouded like a good beer should be….
Moor roll on with Amoor Porter the latest release. We’ve
also negotiated an emergency re-brew of ‘Confidence’ as it was so bloody good.
Should be in tank next week. Justin and I are also working on a way of getting
another conditioning tank into the brewery as well, so that we can do some more
specials and occasionals next year, he keeps saying ‘mebbe’ when I ask for a
Saison, maybe now it’ll happen.
